A tiny run to the top in a box like compartment. A fun thing to do to get to the old town and great views to the city. Only 4 kuna for the one way ride.

it's just a few meters and on each side there are stairs that take you up - but if you'r elderly or are experiencing other health issues it's the best, fastest and cheapest way to get to the upper part of the city - it's also where you can find ambassies and European institutions...rather nice to take stroll

It doesn't go very far and it takes about 30 seconds to ride, but it's worth it. At least for 4Kuna, why not? It links the lower street with the upper part of the city, but it's not that hard a walk at all. Still, why not ride in (almost) style?

If you don't want to walk to the old town, you could go on the funicular for a few Kuna. Anyways its not a tough climb and easy to walk. If you feel lazy, you could take the funicular on the way up and come down walking.

Yup it'll take you to the top of the old town hill and saves on walking, but only goes every 10 minutes and the view is just as good at the top of the hill as it is in the Funicular.

It's been around for quite a while and is a great old time feel on a quick ride to get from the top of the city to the lower part

This is an excellent way to get to the upper town if you are too lazy to walk up those steps that run alongside it. It is cheap at 4Kr for a one way ticket that can be purchased on the spot. The views looking through the back window over the lower town are good. It can be crowded during... More

Great way to get up to the old town. very cheap to get a ticket. We have a similar lift in Saltburn near where we live so it had to be done.
