The National Military Museum is a great place to spend a couple hours, if military history interests you. The displays are well done, although many are lacking descriptions in English, and I'm sure a guided tour could probably offer some context. My teenage sons love...More

Great place. I recomend to vizit the museum in the month of may, when every year they have the Open doors Day. All the visitors have free acces and can enjoy the reanicment of war fights and a lot more historical and militaryactivities.

As noted recently, it really would help to have a sense of Romanian history before going to this museum, as the context of what you're looking at isn't always entirely straightforward. That said, it is a magnificent collection of military history in many and varied...More

Although I was mainly here for the aircraft an attempt to go straight outside was stopped and we were directed to go round all five(?) floors of the museum. There are a lot of interesting exhibits but all the information is only in Romanian. Some...More

Visited the military museum whilst in town and wasn't disappointed. The exhibits in the museum were very interesting starting a few hundred years BC. The preserved helmets and swords were great. The layout of the museum follows time and the weaponry gets more advanced. This...More
