I don't want to see weapons around. I hope to see all of them in a garbage one day. I hate to see violence also. But what was good, in city center we saw some buildings from war time, not renewed. They keep it as a bad memory of the war, about how terrible war is. All human beings should... More

Situated in the grounds of the Kalemegdan park, overlooking the Sava River, this large museum traces the history of conflict from prehistoric times to the present in a vast series of well-presented and fascinating displays, featuring history, weaponry, ancient armor and all the accoutrements of human warfare through the ages. There is also a comprehensive collection of tanks and artillery... More

The modest entrance and linear style bely the hugeness of the museum exhibition, on everything from ancient history to modern Serbian history. Serves as a quite well rounded history museum, beyond just the military, although that is the focus. Complaints are that it is a long linear museum with few seats and ways out if one needs to make an... More

Somewhat cool to see the old cannons and tanks but the fort itself where it resides is a better attraction.

A superb museum which takes you through the country's fascinating history. Allow a couple of hours (if you wish to look in detail) to traverse the rooms in order. Personally, a little disappointed there wasn't a larger section on the events post 1945, particularly of those in the 1990s.

This military museum is located at Kalemegdan, next to the Belgrade fort. There are many military machines from the Second World War and earlier periods connected to the Balkans wars!

If your at Belgrade Fortress the military museum is a god cheap add-on while you are there. Plenty of displays of military equipment and history relating to Serbia and its Balkan neighbours dating back over a thousand years. Nice displays of pictures, clothing and models. Outside you will find tanks, cannons, military vehicles and even anti aircraft guns. Well worth... More
