We spend about 1 hour 30 minutes and it was fantastic. There is a fantastic selection of paintings and porcelain. The main exhibition is on the first floor. Some of the rooms and ceilings are so amazing and would look stunning even if these rooms...More

We had an hour before our train and popped in. For the size of the building, which itself has some interesting rooms, the collection upstairs provided a high quality viewing experience.

A great opportunity to see some really fine Russian icons and paintings. Don't be put off by the dimly lit early rooms with indifferent portraits. Mid to late 19th century rooms are brightly lit with some outstanding art. Memorable for us were Shishkin's woodland landscapes,...More

If you are interested in and know something about Russian art, particularly of the 19th-20th centuries, this is a great place to see. It pales, of course, next to the Tret'iakov or the Russian Museum, but it is a nice introduction with some fine pieces....More

difficult to find (near the Taras Shevchenko Park) and few strange rules inside, but it's worth to visit, especially if you like Russian art of 19-20 th century. Opened only 3 days a week, check before you want to go.
