They have enough fire power here to start a war, i know it is all for show but it makes you think. It was great to walk about all the tanks and planes, and inside the museum is great. From modern day back into the...More

It'll cost maybe few dollars to enter so if you are into war era moments, recommended that you go in as part of the walk by of the giant libery statue and so forth. If you are not into tanks, planes, etc. there's really nothing...More

One of the friends I was travelling with had seen mention of this and we planned to visit but came across it even earlier almost by accident. Fantastic setting in the shadow of the amazing Rosina May monument and a memorable visit.

I have been to A LOT of war museums in my life and this has been one of the best. Whilst not every item is translated in English, the wealth of photos, displays, artifacts and Soviet wall sculptures speak volumes on their own. Each room...More

A must see in Kiev. A lot of history and memories. It costs 30UAH pp. If you are interested in history of war this place will be the right choice.

Worth a visit after spending some time at the Lavra... just keep walking a bit and you will see it. Worth the visit, especially during sunny weather. Plan ahead for time, the museum is not open all night and day :)

What an amazing museum! It depicts Russia's experience of World War II from a truly unique perspective. The grand scale of the exhibits ensured that it was not just an education, but a truly emotive experience. Being able to walk through life size exhibits depicting...More

As many previous reviewers have mentioned, there isn't a ton of information in English here. However, there was enough information that we felt like we learned something from our visit. Each of the galleries has an information sheet in English (usually found at the threshold...More

Most of them outside - technique. Smaller War Museum is inside. We were there for about 2-3 hours.

Yes I agree you need 2 to 3 hours, mainly because much of it is outside and spread around and the hill top park it is in and the views it gives are a large part of the visit
