Beautiful rebuild of St. Michael's Cathedral. Wonderful reconstruction after it was torn down by the Soviets. Interesting "new" artwork that works to interpret the old original artwork. Beautiful grounds on a cold and snowy day.

It was very delighting to see this nice building absolutely open for public. No fees, no souvenir shops, no attendants, no beggars - just a sacred place where people pray. Recommended.

This cathedral is on top of a hill in the old town. Fairly small inside but the decoration of the walls wiyh oaintjngs and gold filigree is stunning. Not a huge amount here but a nice stop before taking the venicular railway down the hill.

Unlike Sophia, this is not an old but a newly rebuilt, so it is not a museum but an actively in use church. And it is free to enter all the time daily.

Just in front of the St. Sophia's cathedral. Nice front yard. The color of the walls and domes is so nice. Just visited its front and yards, didnt have time to go inside.

When we were in Kiev, we could not go in, but we spent a few coins to get in the gate and walk around the building and get some amazing views of the city. Amazing!
