Fantastic interior in a serene setting. It must be unforgettable during Palm Sunday. Frequented by locals, young and old. Visited throughout the day by believers. A peaceful retreat forgetting all our worries. Even for non-believers a must see.

This beautiful yellow cathedral is the best way to start a Kiev tour as the frescoes here tell you the history of Kiev and the beginning of Christianity here as Volodymyr married Anna, a Byzantine princess from Constantinople. Their sons who are beautifully painted on the walls were unfortunately killed by their older brother. The frescoes painted mostly by Russian... More

The interior of this Cathedral is purely STUNNING. The location merely a block from the Kyiv Hilton Hotel andwalking distance from the Opera are well worth the visit.

Our flight was early-we passed by just after 7am. It was positively transcendental; the priest was singing whilst other priests and church goers joined in. The decorations are extraordinary whilst the exterior is beautiful and balanced. Try to go when there is a service to glimpse the sincerity of Kyivers' devotion.

We came upon this place by surprise while walking through Kiev. The sound of church bells drew us in the direction of St. Volodymyr. It is a beautiful cathedral in a different style than many other religious sites you will see in Kiev. The frescos inside are impressive. We had a great visit! I stayed on the grounds for a... More

It looks pretty cool on the outside, but I honestly wasn't expecting much on the inside; boy was I wrong! It is one of the prettier and more interesting churches I've ever popped in. It had lots of cool paintings, people lighting candles, and a general buzz of activity. I just wish you could take photos (you might be able... More

I toured this Cathedral during the holidays in the middle of a snow storm and I'm sure glad I didn't let the weather keep me away. Artwork & murals of all kinds were tremendous. You could feel the history in the air. You wouldn't necessarily even have to be religious to really enjoy this place. The building itself is special.

It was beautiful. I visited one of the most wonderful churches in Kiev. It`s called St. Volodymyr's Cathedral. This magnificent church striks for its size. Its dome covered by gold. I went into it and was amazed by the beauty. The gold icons hung on the wall. The quite church prayer was heard everywhere. I was glad to visit it, because... More

Visited the Cathedral during Sunday mass. The atmosphere is divine and the icons inside are unique. The Cathedral is a symbol of Orthodox Christianity of Ukraine.
