Certainly an amazing and awe-inspiring monument on top of the bridge that connects the Dnipro river with the west part of Kiev, I really loved the monuments as it indicate historical facts! To get there, you need to take the red line and exit on Dnipro station. As soon as you're out, you'll see the monument across from the bridge!... More

I started a river walk along the Dnieper at the Kyiv Founders' Monument recently and I thought it was a nice place to spend a little time watching the river and thinking about how old the city is. Like most monuments and historical sites, this monument comes to life a little more with a read-ahead to give yourself some background... More

The legend goes that 3 brothers and their sister founded this city. So they created a monument to them

For storovynnymy memories is Kyj, Scheek, Horyv and their sister Lybid were founders of Kyiv. Located in a park area on the Right bank of the Dnieper. Location of wedding photo sessions

I just updated the map now, but the monument is NOT where it is/was on the TripAdvisor map - best way to get to the monument is to take the red line to Dnipro, then walk SOUTH - the map tells you to go north - it is WRONG! Go south towards Pechersk-Lavra for about 15 minutes. Once you see... More

Unusual statue dedicated to the founding of the city. Located in a difficult spot to reach near the river, it serves it's purpose. Worth a one-time visit but not high on the list of things to do in Kyiv

First of all the monement is installed at a very nice place. Did you ever think why 2 names of city are used: Kiev and Kyiv? This monement answers why... So, Kiy, his brothers Schek and Horyv and their syster Lybid are the founders. And answer for the question "Whoes is this city" is "Kiy's" that sounds: - Kyiv on... More
