Once you exit Saint Michael's monastery, you can find Saint Sophia's green towers strait ahead. You have to pay a ticket to enter the premises and additional tickets must be purchased to visit the church. Another oasis of silence in a bustling City :)

I loved the atmosphere here! The garden is beautiful and perfect for spending time with sculptures. You can climb up to bell tower for a beautiful view but be prepared for tiring stairs.

This is the place to visit if you are interested in history. The oldest church with very old paintings from the founding period. A must see.

St Sophia cathedral Beautiful and famous landmark - UNESCO heritage site- a must seen during your visit in Kiev. Immaculate grounds too. Great view of the city from the Bell tower.

Inside the Saint Sophia Cathedral there are wonderful old mosaics, the tomb of the Prince Yaroslav and some interesting buildings around.

Gorgeous church Historical Statue outside is historical in the direction that the leader points the mace was turned away from Moscow . Must be there when open hours not an active church a historical site tak notice to the bell system from the front entrance

I don’t think so, we were told it would shut at 6 pm if I recall correctly.

Closed Thursday, open Friday through Tuesday 10am till 6pm, Wednesday 10am till 5pm
