Good care of this highlight of Kiev. In the neighbourhood of more historic locations. It was quiet and I had the opportunity the beauty of churches. Well decorated and maintained!

If you visit Kiev, you must see Sophia. It is a unique place, you will feel connected to the past. Very old frescoes and mosaic, great acoustic. Very reach history.

Our highlight: the interior of this cathedral (so watching it from the outside is not enough). You can't fotograph it though.

This is one of the oldest (perhaps the oldest) churches in Ukraine and is absolutely stunning. It was rebuilt several times but, once you are inside, you feel tranported to the 11th century.

A masterpiece of medieval (11th century) architecture in ine very heart of Ukrainian capital. Cheap to visit, good transport, beautiful views (for example from the bell tower). A number of good restaurants nearby. Must see.
