Its an interesting view, feeling how the continent is cut in two by the canal. You can drive through it and get the feeling.
I guess a bridge is a bridge, but the details of the construction, the symmetry, the lines, the flow, with a large body of water beneath, are both a terrific photo op and a marvel of engineering.
I drove accross this bridge 1,000's of times but seeing it and going accross after 50 years was a thrill. Most things in Panama are new, but I caught this experience before they renew it too.
The bridge is nice but the history is what makes it all the more exciting to see and travel on. You can see the bridge from the causeway if you do not have to travel on it.
