This 265-hectare national treasure is located within Panama City’s Ancon district, and is the only protected area in Central America located within city boundaries. Standing along the Panama Canal’s eastern shore, it’s home to dozens of species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and trees. With lookout points, four well-marked trails, a scenic road and a Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute canopy crane structure, guests can explore on their own. The Park also offers guided tours to groups for a fee (five-person minimum) if booked well in advance.

I loved walking here. It is so quiet, there are lots of birds and the caretakers always know to find the slots. If you walk al the way up you wil have a great view of Panama, old and new part.

We had a great morning of hiking all the trails. It was hot so take lots of water. Saw sloth, tapir and lots of birds.

It's an okay activity but not an overly exciting walk. We did the whole thing which was about 5km in total. Saw a sloth at the beginning and lots of small turtles at the close by pond. The rest was full of beautiful bird sounds but couldn't see much. There is a great view of Panama and the canal at... More

A great little slice of heaven in the middle of the city. Step away to breathe & experience the glory of the Panama rain forest! The trails are well groomed & it's a very easy hike. There is quite a bit of wildlife to see. I also encountered a recycling center in the back of the visitor center, which I... More

Walking the well-marked trails of this lovely city park was a nice respite from the heat and hustle bustle of downtown. Although we didn't see many creatures, the views of the city from the highest point are incredible. Entrance fee is $4 per adult, and there are benches and tables if you want to pack a lunch. On-site bathrooms, but... More

The literature says you can see monkeys, sloths, birds, etc. while we saw practically nothing, there were border groups there and so,e lovely paths to hike. I think you might need a guide to see the wildlife.

For a mere $4.00 entry fee, you can enjoy easy to moderate hiking here. My group spotted a three-toed sloth in a tree. This was a fun activity for a group and a nice workout.

We took Uber from our hotel and arrived past 9 am. It was overcast so not too hot. At the main entrance you buy ticket $4 for adult and $2 up to 17. You get a wrist band. Then you fill out a guest book with your names, ages and nationality as well as purpose of the visit. A staff... More

A beautiful urban jungle. Easy to walk around. You can walk the long (and hot) route to a sightsee point in about 2 hours. We didn't see much animals, but the trees and plants are okay to. The view at the Panama city skyline is stunning.

A taxi to here from Albrook Mall should cost no more than 3$! The entry to the park is now $4 and you need 2-3 hours to spend, depending on which route you take. But the Los Trinos look out point affords a great view over the city and surrounding area. It can be a bit steep, so good shoes... More
