Monkey Island was a fun little boat trip. The monkeys are use to getting bananas so they hesitantly creep their way to the boats for a little snack. Personally afraid it will make them easy to poach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our journey into the national park and the animals we saw in the jungle. Especially the Crocs! The Indian village was very interesting and we were made feel very welcome. Ross our guide from Panama Tours was great and went the extra mile to search out the best viewing areas.

We booked the tour ourselves on the Internet. We received an immediate confirmation and pick-up time. Mario and Julietta (our guides) picked us up promptly. We stopped at a National Park for a bathroom break before we boarded our boat. We saw three different types of monkeys in the wild. We had bananas to feed them and got some great... More

This would be great fun for children. We enjoyed the opportunity to see the monkeys who appear to now be trained to come to the boats for food. One mischievous monkey hopped onto our boat and quickly grabbed a plastic bag from a gentleman's pocket containing sunscreen and mosquito repellent which was finally thrown away as the monkey found it... We actually hadn't planned on this until the boat Captain from our fishing boat suggested swinging by the island on the way back to the docks. The island is infested with Howler monkeys (and other varieties) that will literally come down to be hand fed from the boat...quite a sight and loads of fun for the kids as these monkeys... More

We enjoyed our river boat ride on the Panama Canal to Monkey Island. It was so fun watching the monkey's jump in our boat. We had several different monkey's jump in our river boat. Our river boat guide gave us bananas to feed the monkey's.

We took a boat trip down the canal to Monkey Island. We saw quite a few monkeys and at least 2 different kinds. The boat ride was really nice especially passing a huge ship, makes you realize how small you really are.

Different tour companies will pull up along the shoreline and the monkeys will come down out of the trees and literally on to your boat to get food. Good for picture taking. However the monkeys are tame and have been conditioned so it is more of a zoo-like experience than anything else.

There are monkeys waiting for bananas, but there are a lot of different birds and lizards to see. Boat ride is a attraction for itself as there are big ships passing. And there is a giant crane in the canal service docks with a remarkable history used to service canal locks.
