Feels like the French Quarter in New Orleans and Havana had a child. Lots of wonderful architecture from different periods to see. Chic restaurants and boutiques. Very walk-able. What more could you want?

Very traditional old Spanish style town The government buildings are impressive There's lots of renovation work going on so getting around was difficult Good range of restaurants and cafes Some old buildings also being converted to hotels In time it'll be a great place to walk around as it will be pedestrianised

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is probably the best part of Panama. You can walk through the streets, select from countless restaurants, bars and night clubs. It has an artsy vibe to it with lots of artisanal offers.

Cool bars, lounges and clubs. Look for the roof top patios! Great views and party goers! Had the most fun in this part of the city!

We only had one afternoon in Panama City and had to choose between Casco Viejo and a visit to the locks. I'm so glad we chose Casco Viejo! It is a wonderful area to stroll and explore over several hours. It's also perfect for drinks and dinner. You don't really need to use a map as it's a small enough... More

Panama City Jazz Festival is a must-see; and the outdoor entertainers can be found all over the city.

By far the loveliest place we visited in the city. I would come back and never leave this area. The architecture, shops and restaurants are incredible.

Its great to see how this once run down and dangerous area has evolved into the most lively and culturally relevant spot in Panama City. This is a place for nightlife, dining of all sorts, culture, music and bohemian living. Definitely worth a visit or better yet a stay in the area to be immersed in the full experience.
