I usually park my car in La Cinta Costera and walk thru the old quarter (Casco Viejo). Everyone is cheerful. Visit the interior of the churches in the daytime, take the time to visit the shops that offer original items found only in Panama. Go toward the waterfront, walk the elevated pathway that connects to Las Bovedas (The old prison... More

Such a beautiful and interesting part of Panama City. So much to see and do. A must see by all who visit Panama City. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping and wonderful sites that bring you back in time.

Beautiful area of the city, took a lot of photos since the view is amazing. Lots of places for lunch, and we did the bulk of our souvenir shopping here. Look for happy hour specials at the bars.

Visited one near the water. Has a silver swordfish on the wall. The best mojitos I've ever had. Just can't... More

Maybe the only real history one can see in Panama. The area is not big but was fully restored to its original colonial style now home to many boutique hotels, restaurants, bars and many hand crafts stores,

when you are on your "walk-about" in the old quarters - you will eventually also pass Casco Viejo. Interesting and historical.

It's ok but very narrow streets jammed with traffic. Watch out for stepping into holes in the sidewalk. Almost broke my ankle. Half the buildings are literally falling down.

Beautiful and great, Casco viejo offers a great mix between old (very old) panama and modernity (without touching the soul of the place) Careful not walking to far as you end up in not so safe part of Panama really easily. Adding a bit more spice to this place I guess. However, police presence and commun sense obviously, will keep... More
