We walked the entire length on a Sunday and it was enjoying. We also biked the entire Avenida. On Sundays from 9 to 12 they shut detour traffic and open the rode for bikes only, very enjoyable. Taking in the excellent views of the city makes the walk that much nicer. There is also the bonus of taking your picture... More

Beautiful long park along the foreshore with well maintained gardens and play grounds. Lovely to walk and cycle with a dedicated cycle path.

The Cinta Costera on avenida Balboa is great for a walk (early in the morning or after sunset). It is a great place to enjoy the Panama Skyline

To get from the path along the Pacific back to the hotels and other locations, you have to cross 6 lanes of two-way traffic. There are a few pedestrian bridges, but they are rather far apart. Don't try running across the street. Panamoan drivers don't expec that, and may not stop for you.

The Avenida Balboa, which snakes along the ocean front past the skyscrapers and hotels of Panama City is a lovely thing to behold from, say, the lounge of the Panama Hilton or the Intercontinental. Especially at night. The sort of scenic "wow" factor that hotel developers dream of, with palm trees lining the way and the ocean on the other... More

We had a little difficult time finding the starting point for this place. The best starting point would be where the famous "fish market" is and then head towards the skyline away from the old town. You'll find the famous "Panama" sign and other cool things on your walk.

This is a beautiful walk along Panama Bay with fantastic views of the skyline, bay, marinas, trees and flowers. At the northeast end of the avenue are several hotels like the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and the place I stayed, the Las Americas Hotel. At the southwest end is the hectic, delicious fish market and haven of cold cerveza,... More

While in Panama City I stayed in a hotel on this avendia and never felt compelled to explore it. I saw enough of it while taking an Uber to Casco Viejo.

A nice way to meet tourists and locals and enjoy a stroll, bike or jog. Clean, safe and often a pleasant breeze.

Great view of the city from the coastway. It has a lot of courts for many sports (tenis, basketball, football and Volleyball) and places for the children to play.
