I'm going to review this to give you some tips. Ask to visit here on the first day you arrive. If they tell you they don't want to take you, they won't.. they'll blame the weather, they don't want to go in the rain, but the weather turns quickly. Don't go if your guide is uninterested. It was slightly raining... More

A day trip to the conservation area is a must if you are visiting Funafuti. Boats can be arranged through the City Council or the hotel. One can watch the marine life just from the shore. We saw small sharks and turtles. If you take your snorkeling gear with you, it is even better! The walk around the Faulopa islet... More

We travelled to the Conservation Area in a little outboard with two guides. The islands are beautiful - lushly forested and full of birdlife. The sea was so clean and clear and 5 metres from the sand the water was full of coral in rainbow colours and thousands of fish of many types. Fantastic experience!!
