While visiting the national park we saw the unbelievable Ofu beach and the even better coral reefs! Stayed at the great Vaoto lodge.

If I never snorkel again I will know that I have experienced one of the best. Beach, water and reef just pristine.

If you are looking for a secluded white sand beach with beautiful scenery, Ofu Beach is it! This is not a tourist destination, which makes it all the more special. The water holds a vast variety of fish and coral.

Some of the biggest brain coral I've seen, good colour, good diversity of fish though not the highest density I've seen. Aquamarine water, white sand that stretches for miles without another human being on it, green jungle that rises sharply above you. Coconuts you can crack open when you're thirsty. If this isn't perfection, I'm not sure what it would... More

On the plus side, this beach is quite pretty, incredibly isolated and reportedly has superb snorkeling. On the minus side, the beach is for the most part very narrow: a dozen feet tops of sand, parts of the beach have rock mixed with sand, and there are few places for swimming.

Some of the loveliest corals I have seen inside a reef, also plenty of fish life,we were there for six days and on all of this stunning beach we never saw another person. A note to keen snorkelers, lots of people move around to much which keeps scaring the fish away, keep still for a few minutes and the fish... More

Many people tout their favorite locale as being "paradise", a very strong descriptor, indeed. I do not use the word lightly when saying that Ofu Beach is truly paradisiacal. Lovely, peaceful, refreshing and absolutely uncrowded.

The deep green majestic mountains paired with the aqua of the pacific is worth every penny and every barried hurdled to get this remote island. Make sure you get up to see the sunrise as the entire ocean and beach turn gold...sunsets are pretty awesome too as well as star gazing. The reef is untouched, the coral alive and thriving,... More
