To enter the Avery Island is free but to visit Tabasco or Jungle Gardens a fee is charged. Jungle Gardens are bird watchers paradise. Chances are you will see rabbits, squirrels and white tailed deer.

We really enjoyed walking through Jungle Gardens on Avery Island. The McIlheny family's commitment to preserving the environment is unparalleled. My wife and I walked the 3.5+ miles of trails and thoroughly enjoyed it. They have some of the nicest employees to be found.

We spent a couple of hours touring the gardens in our car.. 15 different stop off points to walk around and snap photos. A 4 mile walk if you want to do it without the car, a bit on the hot side to walk! Very...More

Always beautiful scenery. A favorite place to visit with friends. I lived in the area in the past but still enjoy visiting when I am in the area.

Beautiful gardens on Avery Island where Tabasco is. You should visit BOTH! Tabasco and the jungle gardens. Gardens cost about $8 per person. A little high in my opinion but goes towards maintenance which is worth it. You drive a three mile loop in your...More

Other than the name suggests, this is really a well-tended park. Although we spotted some alligators, the landscape didn't come across as a jungle but more as a tidy park which of course it was originally with the tree collection of the founder. Nice but...More

I do know that at the Tabasco Tour, they will watch your dog in the gift shop. The pets should be allowed in the car when you visit the Jungle.
