Fun day hiking and searching for minerals with grandaughter's class. Although the site is pretty well picked over at this point you can find some nice specimens if really work.

NOT Fancy, No Bathrooms or facility's and make sure you brink drinking water. Be prepared to carry out what you carry in. GREAT "FREE" place to take the family for a hike or picnic. 1/3 mile steep hike sort of like walking up Goff hill...More

We came for the rock hunting. Got distracted by the tranquility and nature. There's a good mix of activities from dog walking, rock hunting, mountain biking, etc. A few families were using the area to teach science to their youngsters which was great to see...More

Great hike. Lots of different trails. Quarry for finding many different rocks. Nice day in the woods. Not hard for younger children.

Plenty of great single track trails for Mt. Biking or hiking! There are also active mines for quartz and some old quarries to swim in if you desire.

Beautiful spot , easy trail great for dogs. It's free and and a lot of people dig for special stones and gems . Great for photography

Easy hike up the mountain. Fun picking through rocks to find beautiful minerals. Lots of places to rest or take photos. Friendly people all around.

Good workout and hike. weather was beautiful and hike a little wet from spring thaws. It was a lot of fun and pretty.
