There was a wait but we went on a rainy day during spring break. Not a big deal since we were able to go to the science building while waiting for the Children's Museum (main building). It is ideal for 3-5 year olds. Lots of different rooms with themes. The three favorites were the train, the water room and the... More

I'm a first grade teacher and recently went here for a field trip with about 100 first graders. It was our first time trying this place out and we are very happy we did! The inside museums were closed for us so we had plenty of space inside-- without other visitors outside our group. Our kids were engaged for two... More

The Museum has four areas: Old Victorian House, The Science Center, The Tree House and the Outdoor Conservation Area. The Science Center was the best experience for our 6 yr. old granddaughter. Arrived at 9:30 a.m. on school vacation week, to beat the crowds. Each hands-on activity was well thought out, had great questions posted next to each for us... More

I went with my two boys and it was a ton of fun. The new outdoor structure seems really cool. As it was a weekday the science center did not open until after 1 PM as it is only open to school groups in the morning. I did have the baby in a sling, strollers are not allowed in the... More

I hadn't been to the "Acton Clildren's Museum" in a few years. My husband and I took 2 of our grandchildren ages 4 and 6. They loved the main children's house, We spent over and hour there and then we adventured to the tree house, outside beautiful playground and lastly for a short while (before they kicked us out at... The first Friday night of the month, admission is free. There is so much to do and see and the kids are learning without realizing it. This is a great place for toddlers and older children.

We took our kids to this museum when they were little. Now we take our great niece and she loves it just as much. Many new additions over the years.

My grand daughter loves the Discovery Museum. We go several times a year. Lots of new experiences to be had. A great chance to have quality time with your children. My only problem is some of the exhibits are broken, need up dating, or temporarily out of order.

This place is a gem. The quality rivals that of any major city's children's' museum with the added bonus of many outdoor areas that are open year-round. Activities for all ages of kid, hours of educational entertainment!

The Discovery House and Discovery Museum as well as the outdoor areas are a nice surprise hidden away in Acton. We took our 3 1/2 year old during school vacation week so no one to blame but ourselves as we knew it would be busy but it was utterly mobbed. If you are going on a weekend, school vacation or...
