We visited the summit on a chilly late October afternoon. Having passed fall foliage season, there was plenty of parking. There was no charge to park this time of year, but donations are requested to maintain the park. The main attraction is the Memorial Tower...More

Great tourist trap -- especially in autumn. We don't live far from it but seldom go but took relatives who hadn't been in a while. Try to go in morning before it gets busy otherwise, after driving nearly 10 miles uphill, you may get stuck...More

The first thing I noticed about Mount Greylock was the smell...it literally smells like Christmas! It was a beautiful day & we had 3 dogs to hike. Loved it & would definitely return.

This gorgeous summit is accessible by foot or by car. I especially loved the signage that showed distant landmarks and their distances. Highly recommend. Next time we might build in a meal or drink at the lodge at the summit.

The views from the top of M. Greylock are amazing. The veterans memorial monument has quite a few stairs but they are worth it for the view. The memorial itself is amazing and a must see.

Decided to go Mount Greylock haven’t been in several year. It was worth the ride. We enjoyed our early leaf peeping ride and ended up at the summit of Mount Greylock. What a view and great hike. War Memorial Tower was completed in 1932 is...More

8-mile drive up to the top meandering up the mountain. There isn’t much scenery on the road because it's obscured by trees and brush, but there are several lookout points to pull over. The Veterans Memorial Tower is a commemoration to all Massachusetts war dead...More

We began with a video at the visitor's center - a must! Then we hiked Rounds Rock Trail to the vista and back. It's an actual nature trail, not paved. Definitely not for those who find walking on mixed ground but not too strenuous and...More

Yes there are picnic benches but there are also plenty of places to have a picnic in the grounds. Payment for car park is when you reach the summit and there is a booth at the car park entrance. The day we went it was free... More

No fee to go up the road but there is a fee to park so you can explore the top of the mountain. I think $5 to $10 per car. Stop at the lodge on the way up the mountain and there are rangers that can tell you about the... More
