Falls are gorgeous. If you are going to slide and play in the pools, be sure to check for leaches. Several were found in the water. Luckily none were attached.

Chapel Brook Falls, a series of semi-major and semi-minor plunges, reveals itself only a couple of hundred yards from a country lane. There's parking on the side of the street and a trail that dips down to the falls on the other side of the road. It's a very lovely sight, to see the water spilling forth from under the... More

This is a beautiful natural setting with a cascading waterfall with several deep pools at different levels. It's a very nice place to just relax and explore.

Beautiful. Semi-secluded. Hike first, then drip in ice cold but fantastic water and waterfall. Dip in a pool or slide into it from a natural rock waterslide--with care! Not for everyone but truly magical in the heat of summer.

Nice easy hike, with kids or pets. There are great spots to stick your feet in the water for a quick cool down, and lots of places to sit in the shade and listen to the sounds of the brook as it trickles by. Lots of great photo ops in this highly scenic area. Another little gem tuck away in... More

This is a short hike from the parking area to the base of the lowest falls. I arrived fairly early and had the entire place to myself. As the sun rose, the leaves lit up with color and the falls looked amazing. While I don't believe any of them were more than 20-30 feet high, each had it's own style... More

Even though I've lived in Western MA my whole life, I had never checked out Chapel Brook until recently. It's beautiful! There are many options for trails- you can hike to the Bullit Reservation, or to DAR, or hike up to the summit to see a beautiful view. My friend and I were able to do the hike to the... More

There are short hikes to open pools with large rock falls and on a hot day the area feels much cooler. The hikes across the road lead to a large rock face and if you continue to follow it around to the back there is a good view. Go in expecting a cute little spot and you will be very... More

Chapel Brooks Falls is a beautiful set of waterfalls that cascade into pools that are deep enough to swim in! The fall before one of the pools makes a great slide to splash down into the water that is surprisingly deep enough. The water was crisp and refreshing and so clear! My only mistake was going at the end of... More
