Surfside is our favorite beach on the island (though we usually try and sit a little further down at the entrance to Fisherman's). We love the waves, and the amount of space and can bring our two golden retrievers to play in the water. There...More

What a beautiful beach! We took an Uber here from town and headed down the beautiful path to the water’s edge. We brought our own chairs and towels but after a few hours wanted an umbrella. When we tried to rent one at the shack,...More

Excellent beach for families! The water is warm and the waves are minimal so kids can enjoy their time in the water without worrying about currents or waves crashing on them.

Absolutely terrible. You wait a couple of hours for a stone cold crab cake. Deplorable ripoff. They even lock the toilets. Worst place on the island.

The waves here are some of the best on the island. Very relaxing place to be although if you have kids you may be a little wary of them in the water (there are however lifeguards on duty in the summer). There is a big...More

An easy ride from town, about 15 minutes. Free and relaxing. Nice amenities including a shower and charging station for your phone. Note also there is food service here and its the BEST food I've ever had at a remote beachside stand

The beach is empty in the morning, but there were lifeguards so it's safe. People seemed to arrive around noon, but I still don't think it would get too crowded. There is a place to buy some food and the views up and down the...More

A huge beach and easy to get to. A short cycle ride from town. Worth taking chairs and snacks but the cafe near the car park is good although there’s a big queue at lunchtimes..we’ll worth a visit but you can’t surf there.

No. And this is an isolated section of the island as far as stores and restaurants go.
