This is an interesting historic home that gives you a perspective on what was once high-class on the island. It's worth the money for a tour, but they are only open 11-4.More

This dates from 1676 and was a wedding present for the couple by their fathers who had had a long running argument over land. Very good docent lead tour. This is part of the Nantucket Historical Association pass.More

So old house that is well preserved. Guided tour, informative. More interesting to the parents than the kids. If just adults on your trip, or the kids are into old houses then do it. With guided tour maybe 20 minutesMore

We stumbled upon the Oldest House while out for an evening walk. The building was not open, but we could see there is a working garden. Likely better seen in spring or summer.More

Nantucket is filled with wonderful early American history and this is one of its landmarks. A memorial to the whaling industry that dominated Nantucket for years.
