And is lovely, as is the whole town. So spend sometime in the cathedral but spend some more time outside talking to the delightful locals who, although they would love to sell you something, are equally delighted to exchange a few words of Spanish with...More

This is right on the central Plaza and worth a short visit. As it was just prior to Easter, statues were covered and it was somber atmosphere.

The facade of this church is stunning. It's in a convenient location right next to the Central Park. Make sure you check this out if you're in Antigua

It's pretty rare to be able to visit a location like this. It's well worth the Q8 admission charge. It's amazing to see the blue sky through the open ceilings.

We stayed just behind this imposing and lovely structure, so got to see the entire thing, all the way around. It's in amazing shape for its age and you must see it lit up at night.

The carvings and stainglass were beautiful in this renovated, old cathedral. We were even privileged to view a wedding while there. There was a children's orchestra playing for the wedding and a number of other activitiesoing on in preparation for Easter. A must see.

The main facade of the church is amazingly ornate with statues of popes and angels. The inside is pleasingly plain. However, for a small donation you can enter the ruins. Those powerful arches, open to the sky are really beautiful.

Outstanding outside especially in the evening when illuminated. Inside simple but nice. Did not find anything with special interest but still worth of visiting. In front of the church is an excellent site to follow the parades of Semana Santa !

It's central on one side of the main square so worth visiting. It's not over ornate which I prefer. On our visit we saw a baptism, the boy of 18 months wearing a white solk suit.
