As the rest of the Diocletan palace, surely in the past was a great construction, but nowadays, with so many shops, bard, tourists and so on, might be an old street, a modern one, or anything in between.

This is one of the main thoroughfares through the old town which runs from Diocletian's Palace to Iron Gate and Narodni Trg. Lined with shops of all descriptions, with interesting architecture for those who remember to look up.

I was staying in this street so went up and down a lot. There are shops and restaurants along this cobblestone street, leads to the palace.

Apart from the wonderful experience of shopping in the small shops, the hidden treasures on the walls in the form of freezes and tiles and other artistic works are the main attraction. Lift your eyes to see all the buildings have to offer.

In a place as extravagant with Roman relics as Split this has to be average but once again it is worth a walk down memory lane, if you have Roman blood.
