Park-Forest Marjan offers a large recreational space with clear paths surrounded by the forest; locals and tourists can enjoy a peaceful nature break from the city. For us, we spent an entire morning there just strolling and enjoying panoramic views of Split from the (1st...More

Only a short walk from Split centre this pine scented hill was full of butterflies, little stone hermitages, ruined concrete bunkers and beautiful sea views. Go when it’s cooler as it’s a steep climb and take water. You can stop at the bar half way...More

It’s a good view and worth climbing to the top but I didn’t find it to be as awe-inspiring as people suggest. It’s a peaceful climb and there’s climbing frames near the top for kids. You can get a bus to very near the top...More

Very nice walk, lots and lots of steps but once you get to the top and see the view “wow” that’s all you can say. It really is a very pretty place with the best views ever.

We strolled up Marjan to get a view of the city of Split from a high point. The top though doesn’t provide much of a view. There is a lot of foliage between the top and the city so the view is a bit compromised....More

We toured this today (Red Line bus - City Sightseeing Tours). It’s a beautiful area, full of people exercising , walking, riding and no cars allowed. A public bus can take you there. Very impressive.

This is amazing viewpoint of Split city, but also a nice park. Go to the top if you are capable of climbing hundreds of stairs. The climb is strenuous so beware! However, views are amazing. There is an old Jewish cemetery worth visiting next to...More

Personally I think you should walk up the hill. A bike is not suitable as it goes up and up and up. Look at Google under marjan. For best views and incredible sunset go all the way up......

There isn't a bus or train service to the top. You have to be prepared to climb many steps from the end of the Riva. Takes about 40-50 minutes.. totally worth it. Uber is an option though.
