A small nice beach with tiny stones but very cozy, there is a beach bar with friendly bartenders and also a restaurant with an amazing view straight to Dubrovnik citadel. if you are fan of snorkeling you will have the chance to see a lot of colored fish.

Quite a trek to this beach and lots of steps. Need to be reasonably fit!!! Very windy on the day we went and the umbrellas were being blown everywhere. Sea was rough. Nice cafe cum restaurant on the beach and the service was good. Definitely nicer beaches though, hop on a boat to one of theach islands kolocep especially.

We took the 15 minute walk from our Hotel and it was easy to find and just gorgeous - so so worth the walk. We were in Croatia at the end of September, so everywhere was really less busy but I can imagine this beach is less crowded than Banje in the summer. If you struggle with stairs, be wary,... More

First day in Dubrovnik but decided to escape the already busy city in favour of an exploratory walk along the coast. The views from several hidden rocky coves and outcrops were stunning but when needing a refreshment stop saw this beach and figured they must have a cafe. Venturing down the steps we initially thought that everything was shut for... More

This beach was practically our backyard during our stay in Dubrovnik. We were staying in an apartment above and it was a quick 70ish step down to this heaven. You have the view of the old city from this beach and really enjoyed it as the other beaches were packed with tourists. There's a nice beachside restaurant which we had... More

I was recommended to check this beach out by my Airbnb host. It's a bit of a walk from Old Town but easy enough to find on Google Maps. The locals are friendly enough to point you in the right direction. Dubrovnik's closer beaches are often too full and this beach had only a few people there, which made for... More

We went to several beaches in the area during our trip and Sveti Jakov was definitely our favorite! It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Ploce gate, but the views of the city are spectacular along the way, so the walk is well worth it. Once you pretty much walk to the end of the road, there is a staircase... More
