Don't get me wrong here, the island of Lokrum is great if you would like to have some "time off" from crowded & touristy Dubrovnik. Its quite a nice island where you will enjoy walking in the cool shades of trees, where peacocks and other winged animals run free (and will steal your food) and also offer great places to... More

Lokrum Island, so the story goes, is cursed by the monks who once inhibited the place and were forced to leave. On there departure the cursed the future owners of the Island. You as a day visitor shouldn't worry therefore. This and other great myths can be found in an exhibition in the old monastery, there is rockpools and a... More

Great little trip to this island on the recommendation of our Game of Thrones tour guide. If you're a GoT fan make sure you find the throne!

A lovely Island with lots to do or many sunny spots if you want to soak up the sun the peace and quiet. Just be carful of the Peacocks and Peahens as they may want a bite of your luch! Very easy to navigate the island and easy to get the boat to and from old toen harbour.

Lokrum Island is about an hour by ferry (cheap transport but in the high season very crowded boat). The island is a great place to get away from the noise and the crowds that flood Dubrovnik each summer. There are no cars on the island so the only means of motorized transport are tractors or electric golf cars. These can... More

A short ferry trip from Dubrovnik harbour. The island is stunning, it is an absolute must-do trip, the best bit of my city break. It is natural, unspoilt, peacocks and bunnies running around. Lovely botanical gardens, monastery, Game of Thrones gallery, paths around the island in the shade - lots of trees. Nice cafes to stop for a cappuccino and... More

We had a fabulous day in Lokrum. It is like a magical island with wild peacocks and bunnies all around. It's a must-do if you're a Game of Thrones fan and interested in seeing the City of Qarth and sitting on the real Iron Throne (for free!) The ferry is easy to catch and there's so much to do and... The sea is crystal clear, the nature is simply beautiful, there are lots of peacocks and they are firendly, too. The museum is amazing, you can see where Game of Thrones was filmed and take a picture in the famous throne.
