Well worth doing but if your a little uncomfortable with heights it is a little scary in places. Wonderful views and great opportunity for pictures. take your time as there are a lot of steps and bring some water particularly if it is a hot...More

A walk around the walls gives you a perspective of Dubrovnik that is unobtainable any other way. Lots of steps though! Best in the later afternoon when it's less hot and when the tour parties from the cruise ships have gone. There are three access...More

Great way to see Dubrovnik. We went up in an evening with a breathtaking sunset. There are a couple of restaurants up there. It would have been great to have had dinner up there but we were a little too late. My only issue is...More

Lots of steps to get onto walls but well worth the effort for the stunning views. Lots of walking tours but are able to go at your own pace allowing a stop at the many bars as you walk around.

Get here early, certainly try to start your walk before 11am or before too many cruise tours turn up. Take your time and try to have a sit down on the way in one of the three or so drinks spots. There is one which...More

It may appear a bit overwhelming at first but the 2 km circular walk is well worth the effort. If it is going to be a warm day, and if cruise ships are due in port, it is best to start as early as possible...More

Go early before it gets hot. Start at Pile gate entrance, because that is the best section. If you get too hot after that segment, then there is an exit, and you aren't missing too much after that.

The only steps are those at the few entrances. So I guess I would recommend just taking a peek at the stairs at the entrance and judging based on that. Good luck!
Hi, we are traveling to Dubrovnik in June and will have our 3yr old and 6yr old with us. Are kids able to walk the wall, and has anyone else done it, how was it?

There were children whilst we were there but you would need to keep a close eye on them. One couple had a toddlers trike up there which was quite light to carry up the stairs. You don't have to do whole wall in 1 go... More
