First of all, they do not take Credit Cards (weird, right?). It is three floors of artifacts and architecture. Most of the exhibits and layout were excellent with a couple of exceptions. It would have been helpful if at least one of the maps indicated...More

This museum takes us back to prehistoric man up through the end of the first millennium. The compact presentation depicts local culture through artifacts and well written commentary which leaves the visitor with a good sense of local Croatian history and, indeed, the region.

This is a wonderful place for history aficionados. You will see and touch hundreds of years of local history. It’s in the center of the old city of Zadar.

Zadar and surroundings have very long and rich history. Pre-historic settlements, roman towns, medieval croatian churches. Some of the findings are presented in this museum, although it would be nice to have some additional information in form of videos or 3D reconstructions, about everyday life...More

No it isn't, there is a small charge which I do not remember but it is worth it.
