I had been to Kotor about eight years ago on a land trip; however, the views coming into the bay in a small ship were definitely stunning on this trip. It was like coming into a city I had never been before. The bay and...More

We traveled 26 December 2017 - 4 January 2018. Fly into Podgorica to experience "city" life and then bus down via Centinje and Budva to Tivat, Local buses are very reasonable and you get to see so much along the drive. Montenegro is a small...More

The sail into Kotor on our cruise ship was breathtaking. There are so many photo opportunities due to the fantastic views. Spending a day here was an absolute pleasure and I would definitely consider returning for a stay as the scenery is beautiful.

Being winter, there are hardly any tourists, so the surrounds and the bay it self is very quite and tranquil, we drove around a good part of it, enjoying the scenery. Definitely worth a visit.

Breathtaking entrance to Kotor. Magical if coming in during sunrise. Fog and mist enhance the overall experience.

The approach into Kotor is a very special, photographer's dream. It is very dramatic, surrounded by the mountains and it is even a bit mysterious. The cruise ships are the best way to visit this port and it is a delight to see.

Take one of airbnb apartments outside of the crowded city centre. With car this is easy. Also taxis are almost free!
