More than a historical monument, placed in a nice park, dressed with a sense of an older century. Ode to sacrify and revolution but also a monument against war.

There really is not much to see but it has historical value and is interesting enough. About a 40 min walk from Niš centre

Cele Kula - 'Skull Tower' in English - was a bit of a disappointment, not that I was sure I wanted to see a towering edifice of human skulls. It's not a tower any more, and most of the skulls have been taken. What you...More

Monument is unique, scary, educative and like a story from Game of Thrones. It's a lesson of what is needed to free a nation and what sacrifice was done from muslims conquerors.

The story of how the tower came to be is one steeped in history and very interesting. We visited Nis mainly for this reason. The Skull Tower is a few kilometres from Nis and buses do run often. We had good weather so walked it,...More

It is indeed a touching story. The place itself is worth a visit. You could buy combined ticket a see few other attractions as well.

Ćele kula is a reminder of how people can be cruel in the most horrific ways. This is a small sight, outside of city center. A tower with, initially, almost a 1000 skulls, now only about 50 of them remained. A small chapel was built...More

If you're in Nis then this is worth a visit simply because it is so unusual. It only takes a couple of minutes to see, so don't travel from too far away. It's small and a bit out of the town centre.

We had small problem to find a ticket office - is before the small bridge close to the free parking place.
