I never knew Plovdiv had so many Roman rooms. This theatre is the most impressive. You can walk down the stairs and up on the stage if you want.

The theater is quite well preserved. I saw it several times during my visit there. It's nice to have a drink just above it. I felt no need to buy the ticket and enter.

A well preserved amphitheatre overlooking Plovdiv, well preserved and still used for performances. Was a little surprised that there was not restrictions as to where you could access. Could get god view of whole complex

Visited Plovdiv for a day. Interesting architecture in the old town. The best part was finding the Roman Theatre. Very impressive. You can even get good photos from outside too. It was certainly a step back through time.

The construction was built in the 2nd century AD. By order of the Roman emperor Trajan. The Amphi Theater was destroyed in the 5th century by the Attila Huns, but is now restored.

Does anyone know if they have disabled access and viewing from this theatre? And how to go about sorting it beforehand if needed. Thank you

I haven't seen a ramp for wheelchairs and in general the access to the place to start with will be very tricky - the old town is mostly laid with cobble stones and on foot it can be tricky, let alone with a helping vehicle... More
