It's tucked away inside a wall. A simple tabarnacle, with lovely frescoes and golden artifacts. If those walls, candlesticks, crosses, candelabras were 18 carats gold, this place must be truly rich. A monument to Constantine and Helena.

Not readily visible behind high walls we zipped inside before a baptism started. Normally no pictures inside but because of the event our guide said it was ok. While small in size the frescoes and chandeliers are worth your while. Take note of the bell...More

When you enter inside you feel so deep peace. All inside is shining and seems that the sun is touching your soul and gives you excatly what you are looking for.

The inside of the church is another wonder of Bulgarian art with magnificent frescoes and icons. The church is hidden behind walls but easy to find because of the detached bell tower rising fairly high in the old city. Well worth a visit.

Unique church! One of the most visited Bulgarian Orthodox church in Plovdiv. She is a valuable religious, historical, and cultural landmark in the city’s Old Town!

It's easy to miss this church. According to the walking tour guide, in Ottoman times, a church could not be higher than its walls, so they built high walls to hide this little beauty. I lit a candle and enjoyed the dark, intense atmosphere.

Small, humble, tranquil and stunningly beautiful Sveti "Konstantin and Elena" church is a prime example of the Bulgarian orthodox architecture and it's right in the heart of the Old Town. Pop in... you will love it.

It's a small church in the old town of Plowdiw. There are nice mural paintings inside. Next to the church there is a bell-tower, which you don't see so often in orthodox churches. The church had originally been built by Emporer Konstantin (my name twin...More
