Alyosha is great place where you can escape from silver and faster daily routine and go for a walk in the green Park. It's very good for children and for adults.

From there people can enjoy a 360° view of Plovdiv. It is a famous spot for younger people to meet, especially on sunset. It could be reached only on foot. Cars are not allowed there. Be with comfortable shoes because the alleys are steep. Having water with you could be a good idea if you get thirsty. The place is... More

You definitely have to climb this hill and see the city from above. There isn't any restaurant or shop or even toilet but it's a great place for exercises, jogging, family walks and so on.

This hill doesn't look so high from the Old Town, but once you get to the foot of it, you will see that it is really quite steep. Climbing it involves quite a bit of legwork, and you will be thirsty on a hot day. The trail heads up the rocky slopes through thick scrub with the sounds of birds... More

Its hearthwarming to see our brother nation of Bulgaria have such a big monument dedicated to Ukrainians and Russians who fought for their freedom from the Ottoman Empire. Recommended to visit !

We went there in July, in the middle of the day - which in retrospect was not the best of ideas since the sun really took its toll on us. So be sure to bring lots of water if you attempt it! That being said, the walk is not that hard (if it wasn't for the burning sun). There are... More

Alyosha monument sits atop on a Bunarjik Hill in Plovdiv, gigantic 36-foot statue of Russian soldier overlooking the city. The road to the monument is enjoyable and relaxing. The view from the top is breathtaking, the Roman amphitheater on an adjacent hill comes into view. Old town’s famous "The Trap" area is also visible, and looks like a labyrinth of... More

Alyosha soviet army memorial is standing at one of seven Plovdiv hills. You can see all city from the top of it and the view is really good. My target was sporting so I ran to the top and turn around.

One of my favourite places for a walk. The park is nice. The energy at this place is ....you can feel it. It's nice, gentle and soft energy. The view is amazing. The monument is a very special place for people who like Russia or are somehow connected with it. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing there.
