Built in 1873, still in function. Very picturesque location. Mr. Popa, the miller, is an excellent host and guide. You can buy natural products here, such as various fruit jellies and pickles.

The mill is authentic and the owner has an interesting life story. We arrived with a group of friends in a rainy morning and had a warm hospitalization by the owners of the mill with hot sweet tea. We had a tour at the mill and saw it working. The price was 7 lei (about 1.5 euro).

I was as curious as the children to visit this artifact! The hosts are passionate about their property and very proud to have kept the mill in the family for more than four generations! Cosy place to stay and relax. The village and its surroundings are great a great are to bike (moutain bike) for the peace and quiet, the... More

If you are around the area I recommend every one to take a short stop in there. It is so amazing to find something like that in our country. The man over there explained us the history and all about it

Beware of the flour produced at the mill! I have visited the mill and purchased some expensive raw flour produced at the mill. The flour was expired and sour. I have throwed the all quantity at the bin. Beware of the food hygiene. The mill is not 100% original and is not repaired by a certified restorer.

Lovely place to take photos, the family didn't speak any English luckily for us we had a taxi driver who could translate most things. It took about 20 minutes to see and hear everything. Although we were not charged to see their mill we gave some money as a thank you. Their rooms are interesting but the village surrounding would... More

This is a excellent place to visit if you are looking for an adventure and authentic experience. We were on short visit during our day-trip in Fagaras. We have visited an old water mill (135 years old) - and it was like travelling in time. The beautiful old water mill with a huge wooden wheel is the only one survived... More
