Fabulous. Lovely building with great deco meets Hollywood features. Extraordinary objects in precious materials. Really concise labels etc were informative. Beautifully arranged and lit. Lots of staff but weird gift shop with very few gifts but a good guide - take small banknotes.

How long would a visit to this museum take? I plan to come by taxi from the cruise ship port in Alexandria. Should I have the taxi driver wait for me while I visit the museum? How long would a taxi ride take from the cruise ship port to the museum considering traffic conditions in mid-afternoon? How much would it cost and could I pay in $US? Will the taxi driver know how to get to this museum or will I have to show him the address for it, etc? Thanks for answering these questions.
