The garden is big but lacks variety of flowers. It is a good picnic spot for the locals & in the evening for the love-birds (young couples). The open expression of love was unlike most Islamic countries.

Beautiful gardens away from the crowded streets of Alexandria, with lots of fancy restaurants. We had a great meal in Karam Beirut restaurant there. Reminder: the palace is closed, so if you're going there to visit the palace, don't go.
