We went by taxi who dropped us off at the entrance of the Lookout. We took the elevator up which is well advised to do. Great views.

Going to MDY on several occasions, I actually never visited Mandalay Hill. I'm glad we finally did! The view was fantastic, and the small stupa had nice details, although of course nothing compared to Shwedagon or other larger monuments. Well worth an evening stroll. It...More

Of course every guidebook and tourist tells you to go to mandalay hill for the view at sunset. Lots of tourists will be there at this time of day with their phones and cameras ready but still a great view and nice way to end...More

Although it probably is the busiest time, before sunset is the best time go up here so that you look at the various temples before it gets dark and watch the sun set over Mandalay from this great vantage point. There is a very tall...More

We love the structures, we like bathing the buddha's in the wash area wishing for the best years that are coming. Going uphill is very good, overlooking the city is a nice feeling.

A lot. Good hike. Can be very hot and very crowded. Plan accordingly. We climbed in the morning to avoid crowds and heat...but missed sunset views. 😄
