La Pistoche Swimming Pools and Bars is the only private and public swimming...

La Pistoche Swimming Pools and Bars is the only private and public swimming pools in Luang Prabang. It is a complex of 4 swimming pools, 2 small one with water toys for kids and 2 bigger one for everybody. The 2 bigger swimming pools have 2 bars, one jaccuzzi and a small slide. If you are looking for a refreshing break from the heat, after sightseeing or an exhausting bicycle tour, jump into our pools and enjoy delicious cocktails. Away from the tourist traffic, you can find us nestled within a typical Lao Neighborhood in Ban Phong Pheng Village. We offer Happy Hours on Cocktails from noon to 7 pm. It cost 30,000 kips per persons (adults and kids) for entrance fee and you have to leave a deposit of 50,000 kips that will be refunded to you if you dont drink or eat anything, or will be substracted from your bill. Please be aware that in hot season, we do have a lots of locals, specially on Saturday and Sunday. Which means a lots of kids! We love the fact that foreigners and locals laotians can mix together. However, if you are looking for a very quiet place, we don t suggest our place. In hot season, there are some hotels that let visitors go. Also, be aware that week ends are very very busy. We suggest that you come early, we open at 10 am, if you wish to have some quiet time. Just a small note, we also have a lot of backpackers, some families have made some complains about this. Up to now, the backpackers that comes to the pool have been very kids friendly. My 7 years old daughter always end up making new friends that throw her up in the air. We also have a lots of Lao families. We do have free wi-fi, but we are not an internet cafe, so it is possible that our internet doesn t work... We priorize people having fun together and chatting together, than playing with their internet!!! Hope you enjoy!

We absolutely loved this place. My 5-year-old son was in heaven enjoying all the different slides and water games. They also have life jackets and water tubes and you have different swimming pools with sun loungers, seats and tables to enjoy your day. The Lao food is wonderful too especially the fried vegetables. I'm not giving a five stars because... More

Went with my wife and our 1.7 old daughter. They have one pool for adults and 2-3 really fun pools for toddlers including slides with water sprinklers. My daughter loved them and even I loved them. Food is expensive so better not come hungry. It was more than we expected and on a hot day I can't think of anything... More

It was a scorching sun at LP and we searched for a pool, finding this one. For the price, it delivered what we expected! We went Saturday, so be prepared to be surrounded with kids! It was fun to see them, but it is definitely not a place with a chill vibe. We hanged out in the deep pool area,... More

Recommended to visit this place on a very hot day in LPB. Entrance is 30k kip and 50k separate deposit to spend on drinks. The Pools are nice and cooling, it can be quite busy especially in the weekends. Tuktuk driver offer you to bring you there for 50k and 50 back from town center but its expensive (its a1,5km... Me and my boyfriend came here on a hot day to chill out. Great area to come to had a mix of couples, families, locals and westerners. Has three pools which children all play in but clean and nice temperature to cool off in. Lots of sun beds and chairs to choose from. Also had lots of food and drink... More

Big swimming pool restaurant and bar under the plan trees. Not very friendly and efficient staff. You don't get why you have to pay 50.000kips deposit at the entrance. Is a bit far from the center (about 20min walk). Nice concept to relax and take the sun in the city.

I would truly recommend this place for warm and sunny days. There's three different pools and many sun chairs spread around the place. There's changing rooms, showers and toilets. They offer lockers for 5.000 kip and they also have a bar and restaurant with western and Asian food. The prices depends on what you order. Make sure to bring enough... More

We needed a day out of the heat and this small oasis was perfect. I had read some of the other reviews about water quality, music ect but my experience was perfect. The water was fantastic, cool and very clean. It wasn't too busy. We arrived at 10.30 and had the place to ourselves for the first hour. With a... More
