Head down to the old Balad area in Jeddah and see the old town area which is now a world heritage site. The buildings are still used and lived in and offer an unexpected view of what Jeddah used to be like before the modern high rises started to be built. There are lots of local stores & Souks around... More

The best historical area in Jeddah city. This is one of the MUST visit places in the west region of Saudi Arabia. Maybe you need a guidance as a tourist, look for an official one not anyone!

Excellent place for shopping, this place has been there for ages, you can use your bargaining skills here, good deals on watches and toys, good jewellery and gold shops.

Oldest Bazaar of Jeddah. Near the seaport. Quite busy area. Unfortunately timings of shops are broken in morning and evening shifts so difficult to visit for most of office workers working during same hours.

This is the closest image you will ever find to match your vision of the traditional middle-east. Very bustling and full of numerous south Asian expats. Great for dirt cheap cafes, sheesha and watching the hustle as people compete for space along the crowded souks. Like all of Jeddah it is exceptionally safe; a definite evening visit if you are... The old part of town, mainly shops. Every weekend there are pop-up cafes in the area by Al Baia Roundabout.
