- Aliya AstanaAstana, Kazakhstan479 contributionsDubai festival cityI really love this place! I try to come every time I come. An exceptionally pleasant holiday atmosphere fills this shopping center, there are no crowds of tourists here, as in the Dubai Mall. You can combine business with pleasure – most brands are represented in shopping galleries. But the most enticing for me is the embankment with fountains, laser and fire Show! I recommend you to visit. Be sure to go to the Rasasi and Desigual store!Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 4 November 2023
- zuvBucharest, Romania37,261 contributionsVery nice placeA large and quite beautiful mall. Dozens of shops (or hundreds...), a food court area with a rich offer, playgrounds for children, a Lulu supermarket. It is interesting that here you can take a cruise on Dubai creek, with a traditional boat. Also, one thing worth coming here for is Imagine, an impressive show of water, fire, lights and lasers.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 7 December 2023
- zarina lKrugersdorp, South Africa31 contributionsFestive enough to be called festival mallthe fountain display at the festival mall was awesome. Colourful with a laser display, fire n sounds from the fountain made it for a thrilling displays . The Christmas displays n entertainment on the outside of the festival mall where the fountains are the made me feel like a child again. To me, the festive mall outweighed the Dubai n Emirates Malls. The mall was more normal n family orientated. I suppose since it's not rated as touristy, no hype about it.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 January 2024
- Daniyall_GWest Midlands, United Kingdom109 contributionsA nice mix of shops and restaurantsWe’ve been to most Dubai malls over the years and the bigger ones tend to have only high end stores. If you get the chance try Dubai Festival City Mall. It’s a good size, less touristy with a variety of shops and great food court too. To add to the adventure get the Metro to Creek station, outside go straight across down a little path for a few minutes to get the water taxi across the Creek to the Festival City mall 👍Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 July 2024
- NICHOLAS TDubai, United Arab Emirates10,326 contributionsImpressive mallThis is a large and well stocked mall with a great location. The outside area offers a great view to downtown Dubai and daily fountain show. Inside is a wide range of shops and excellent food and beverage outlets. There is also a large Carrefour and IKEA, together with lots of entertainment options. The mall is easily accessible by car and there is plenty of parking.Visited September 2024Travelled soloWritten 31 August 2024

Beautiful waterfront mall with plenty of shops and restaurants. It is not as big as Dubai Mall but you can find almost everything you want. Less crowded than the more popular malls, which can give you a great shopping experience. To access the mall using metro, you drop at Creek metro station and ask for directions to the Abra station, which is a short walking distance from the metro station. The Abra boat ride to Festival City mall takes under 5 minutes and costs just AED 2.

We had a brief visit to the Festival City Mall and adjacent hotels. The evening laser light show outside in the fountain was amazing and well worth the visit! We enjoyed it more than the Dubai Fountain. The show comes on every 30 minutes in the evening. There are many restaurants with patios facing onto the fountain but be aware that only those associated with the hotels are licensed.

Everyone goes to Emirates and Dubai malls but Festival City is a great place to shop instead of having a tourist experience. Lots of great restaurants as well and even a robotic coffee shop. They also have a fountain show that is themed for young kids.

Dubai Festival City is a city like no other. You should not miss this place as it has plenty options for adults and kids to have fun at the same place!
Fabyland - Kids and few rides for adults
Bounce - Adults and kids (prior booking will be better). Choose for bounce friendly attires.
Dhow boat rides - Found at the backside of the mall. Cash preferred. Charges vary depending upon the time duration and no.of people. More details in the video.
Ikeas and carrefour is a major highlight here.
Neatly maintained mall and washrooms.
Plenty of parking available. 2 exits for easy access for taxi and public transport.

The experience of visiting DUBAI is one of the best in my life. The contrast between luxury and culture is great. A beautiful, clean, safe city with everything you need to spend the best days. There are options for all tastes, excursions to the desert, beautiful beaches, walks through the marina, museums, the best malls, incredible restaurants and everything you could ask for on a trip. The prices are affordable and you can travel throughout the city on the subway network at a very low cost. Recommendation: try to avoid July and August where the thermal sensation reaches 60 degrees. I will be back soon!

Navigating your way to this festival city is very difficult and confusing. There are very few signs to guide you to your destination. If you are not going to the mall, then you are bound to get lost especially at night. Very few signs to guide you to parking or you destination. If you are going to IKEA or the Holiday Inn, you can count on getting lost. Devote at least one half our to find you way in or out of the complex. The most confusing place in Dubai. They do not care about helping you with any useful signs, if any. Even their parking spots are not clear about how to get out or where to go.

We prefer this mall above Dubai mall as it is less crowded and more easily to park your car. We were here in june 2022 and we did notice it is low season but the mall was very quiet, even on weekends.
We visited the Imagine show twice and that always stays wonderful, but we were missing the lasershow onto the IC Hotel, as they would use to do. Also all the market stalls were closed and that was a pitty.
Did notice that not all shops have survived the pandemic as the large sportstore was missing in the corner next to Centerpoint as well as the Old Navy store was missing in the mall.
Hope they will get the activities running here again next time we come around, as it needs a good vibe to attract more people.

The Dubai Festival City Mall has it all--every type of store and eatery seems to be in the huge mall; even different supermarkets. The mall can be accessed directly from the Intercontinental Hotel.
Festival City Imagine program is a nightly sound and light show presented across the lake. It only lasts a few minutes, but is creatively done to nice music. The Festival City Mall is around the lake and sponsors the nightly program.

It is a nice place for families.
Shopping, dinning, and attractions.
LAESR show on the creek is so attractive
The disadvantage is the arrangement for DSF . Only one employe for registration for the mall rewards so the visitors have to stay in long Q for registration then another Q for participation in the spin wheel

Disappointed about the lack of reliable information on the Imagine show timings.
The website and signage says there should be shows every 30 mins from 7pm on Fridays.
There's a children's carnival with games event and therefore the shows have been suspended.
We asked at the mall information desk and the lady there told us about this but assured us there would be shows at 20:30 and 21:00. She advised to wait till the 21:00 one as it would be the "main" show.
There was a 5 min show at 20:20 and nothing further.
If you're running special events that override your usual programing have the decency to advertise them.
I suggested as much to the lady in the information desk. Her answer was, "no they don't do that on the website".
We came to Festival City specifically to see the Imagine show.
