I visited the Green Planet with some friends who came to visit Dubai, and I was more excited than the tourists there! It was wonderful, an indoor rainforest, and we saw all kinds and colours of birds! Although it’s also great for kids, it felt like a Disneyland for adults! Highly recommend for a unique indoor activity!

    Wonderful experience
A very beautiful place, so much fun for children. It’s nice to be able to go to a zoo in the heat of summer & they also offer camping nights. The only thing which disappointed me was this time when I went, they asked us to pay for every encounter which wasn’t the case a few years ago

A must to visit ! Fantastic experience - so close to beautiful animals and birds .
Was undecided whether to get VIP tickets or not . VIP means you get to feed fish and get free photos and you can return again through the day . The photos are worth it as they are in front of a green screen so you get very special photos with animals up and close . We went in a Saturday at 1pm which was peak time . Despite being busy it was still very enjoyable with loads of opportunities for selfies with exotic tropical animals . I would happily have spent the whole day there and gone round repeatedly . I am from London and have never experienced anything like this . If I get opportunity to go again I would go early morning as apparently that is when the animals are most active running around and also place is less crowded . I also went to the butterfly world and although I enjoyed that too , Green Planet is much better . I am surprised it is not in the top 5 things to do in Dubai .

Don’t miss it especially if you have kids
It was a great visit to this indoor rainforest-like place. It closes early, so attempt to go there early enough, I suggest around 10-11. The tickets could be bought online by the website, or by some apps that offer discounts, or in-site when you arrive there. We went on vacation in the morning time and it wasn’t crowded.

One night camping in The Green Planet
Amazing experience for my daughter and myself: camping in Green planet's biodome. A scavenger hunt, nice diner buffet, a visit at the night animals, walking in dark biodome with enthusiastic Song as our night guide, an encounter with a snake and bearded dragon, sleeping in a tent next to the python and tarantula terrariums while flying foxes make noises now and then. Waking up with lemur shouting, birds and parrots saying daylight is coming. The children fed the animals. All closed with a nice breakfast buffet. Thank you Green Planet, Song and all staff en security personnel for this amazing experience!

    Best birthday venue
We hosted my sons 7th birthday at Green Planet and it was AMAZING. The kids had a so much fun! If your kid loves animals this is an amazing place to visit. The best was Joy and Hershey who were so good with kids, so knowledgeable about the animals kept everything moving so smoothly. (Thank you ladies!) Highly recommend.

Worth doing but doesn’t last long.
Great interactions with the animals and a fab concept. Would have given 5 stars but I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t a longer activity: we didn’t rush through at all but we’re still only in the biome about an hour. There is a new play area outside but despite being covered it was still too hot for the kids to play for long.

    Interesting place
A building in which a tropical forest is recreated, populated with many exotic animals and birds. The animals are basically domestic, they are not afraid of visitors at all and many of them walk freely among them. However, you are not allowed to touch them in any way, not even to pet them. During the visit, you can even witness the feeding of some of the animals. You can spend 1-2 very pleasant hours here.

I loved this place, The lemur wandering about, the birds and parrots flying around you and the sloths, it took a lot of restraint from wanting to pick them up to cuddle. Definitely worth a visit

We went there hoping for a good experience. There is nothing there and total waste of time and money. Sit outside on the road or a cafe. there is absolutely nothing there and no foreign tourist ca. Justify the visit.

The Green Planet is definitely an interesting place to visit, but is it worth the money they charge for entry? I'd say probably not.

Pros: seeing the cute sloths and beautiful birds up close, educational experience, most small creatures and animals roaming free in the their surroundings
Cons: overpriced entry ticket and extra charges for every single thing, quite small, overcrowded during peak hours, felt like a tourist trap

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was great to get close to the birds and animals; we were virtually nose-to-nose with a sloth.

We visited the Green Planet on the 15th of February and stayed here for soooo long, almost the entire day! We couldn’t get enough and went up and down the biodome thrice!

This is such a stunning place. I mean, an indoor rainforest, can you imagine how amazing that sounds? And oh man, it looks just as amazing as it sounds, unbelievable!

The second we got to the top, we saw a sloth sleeping in a corner. And my goodness, I have no words to explain how that felt! We then met one of the lemurs and to see a lemur up close without a barrier in between was… incredible. The lemur was pretty chilled out and let us observe him from a distance for a really long time.

We continued our way down and met such gorgeous creatures along the way, watched a sloth move its way down slowly while delicately holding on to the railing, saw lemurs interact with one another, watched such beautiful birds fly around and… it was just… absolutely wonderful.

We got a chance to meet some super interesting Madagascar hissing cockroaches and hold them too!

This place is stunning, we also got to see armadillos, tarantulas, different types of geckos, flying foxes (!!), different types of frogs, so many types of birds and loads of different types of reptiles… There are so many amazing creatures here!

The nocturnal section is awesome too. There could’ve been a few more animals here I feel (I was expecting bats cause we saw that online!) but hey, it was absolutely amazing nonetheless and we spent loads of time here talking to Rochelle about porcupines. The porcupines were so much fun to watch and were super active while we were there. Thanks for all the useful information, Rochelle!

Thanks to Pasindu too for finding the Hyacinth macaws and showing them to us, and for also sharing loads of interesting information with us.

My wife took the reptile encounter and it was pretty good. We have a few complaints though. We paid AED 400 (for the encounter + day ticket) which said we’d be able to meet four different reptiles. My wife met an African fat-tailed gecko, a bearded dragon and two Burmese pythons. *Both* the snakes were Burmese pythons and I wish they weren’t because we paid for an encounter with “four different types” of reptiles. I thought the fourth snake would be a different type of snake. I literally saw a video online where you guys made a family hold two bearded dragons but that wasn’t counted as two different reptiles and they continued to go on and hold three other different reptiles. This was disappointing. My wife was super happy nonetheless though so it’s alright I guess but I hope you guys keep this in mind.

Next, we also paid AED 65 extra while booking our tickets online for this encounter to be filmed. We were told that we’ll get a 30 second video of the encounter and we were obviously excited thinking we’ll have a small mashup of the encounter with all four reptiles. Unfortunately we were then told that the video will be with only ONE reptile and not all four. What the heck is the use of that?

We didn’t want to fight or argue so we were like alright. When it was time to get the video, my wife wanted the video with the African fat-tailed gecko. They didn’t have that video for some reason and we had to wait for more than half an hour for them to get it. We ultimately went up to them to ask for it and they said they’re unable to retrieve it so we gave up and asked for the video with the snakes.

And get this, the video was 25 seconds long with stock videos of the Green Planet and my wife’s video was only 10 seconds within it. Just snippets.

Come on guys. First of all you didn’t want to give us a mashup of all the creatures in a 30 second video and secondly you barely put my wife in the video at all. That’s terrible. You need to go the extra mile to make your customer happy. I don’t even think this is asking for too much especially since we’re paying for it… When your customer is paying this much, you owe it to them. You need to do a good job!

Also, thank goodness no one else had taken the reptile encounter that day or else apparently I wouldn’t have been allowed inside to record my wife having the reptile encounter. So my wife would’ve literally not had a video of the reptile encounter at all. That sucks. I was allowed only once they found out no one else was coming for the reptile encounter.

I would also like to complain about Akash, the person clicking pictures. He just stood in one place and clicked pictures. The lighting was terrible and he didn’t even ask my wife to move a bit even once for better lighting, or to strike a pose with the reptile… nothing. There was no enthusiasm. He just stood in the same place and clicked pictures. The pictures came out so unimpressive that we didn’t buy a single one. Same thing with that tiny video as well, we wouldn’t have taken it had I not already paid for it online and I was just not in the mood for conflict and asking my money back cause we were having a good time at the Green Planet. You guys should teach your photographers to take better pictures and to make the atmosphere more fun. I literally stood and took a 20 minute video of my wife and my video was much better than your photographer’s photos and tiny videos.

As I said, thank goodness no one else came for the reptile encounter otherwise I apparently wouldn’t have been allowed inside. This is a terrible rule because I just wanted to record my wife and not touch or hold the reptiles. Had someone else come for the encounter, my wife would’ve had no video of the entire encounter. At least in between each reptile interaction, allow one family member or friend to come in quickly, take a picture and small video and leave again or something.

Green Planet, please fix this! This was the only thing that made us feel a little off about our experience here.

But yep, apart from these issues, this is a gorgeous place, you guys. It’s a place that’ll make you so happy cause it’s just that beautiful.
