Not much to see at ground level just to say you have been there and had a look at the Palm hotels like Atlantis

It is absolutely stunning and an example of a modern engineering marvel. I highly recommend taking a drive in the Palm Islands to get an idea of the magnitude of this marvel.

This man-made island, built in the shape of a palm tree, extends into the gulf. As you approach the underwater tunnel, you will notice a monorail that seems to travel above the sea. Make note of the apartment buildings, villas, restaurants, marinas and the hotel. As you ride through the underwater tunnel and come above ground feast your eyes on... More

You can drive by them on the Metro because this is private property, you cannot walk on the Plam Islands. The only way to get there is to go to Atlantis. We took the Metro out to Atlantis and that was it. No beach and no walking around. You choice!

Worth a trip on the monorail to see the layout of the Palm - as an engineering project it is pretty impressive. But there's very little of interest for tourists on the island itself and it's a fair distance from other Dubai attractions so I wouldn't stay there.

We stayed in the Hotel Atlantis who has been overrun by tourist bus; if you take the monorail you have a lock to some luxury houses at the palm but that`s it, nothing more interesting, except of a small board walk

We visited the island and I'm glad we did but I don't think I would want to stay on it because we prefer to be on the beach. Looked like the beach here was a rock barrier, a lot to do on the island though and an amazing accomplishment. Worth seeing.

This is my favorite part of Dubai because there is space between buildings, flowers, grass, trees, a boardwalk and it is a place for fun in the sun. The Atlantis is breath-taking, but we could not go on the property because we did not have reservations there (we stayed downtown, but took a drive through to see the sights). If... More
