Good show

Watched the fountain whilst having lunch. Show is every hour. Much better show at night when lit up.

I read that the Dubai Fountains were influenced by the Bellagio fountains in LV. If that is the case, then it is a feeble tribute. They do not compare in terms of frequency, intricacy, power or duration. Viewed either from the Mall or the Burj Khalifa outside viewing area, they are a pale imitation. I am baffled that this water... More

The fountains take place every half an hour on the hour from 6pm. The first time we went to watch we stood with large crowds near the door of the Mall. The next time we learned to walk to the right where there is much more room to enjoy the show. Just don't try to get back into the Mall... More

Spectacular show, but very popular. So either get there on time or be prepared for a wait. The show is every 30 mins.

Loved watching the fountains but I would recommend if you go up the burj khalifa to wait and watch from up there too!

With 30 minute light, water and sound shows this is a good place for dinner that way you can see 2 or 3 shows because each one is different. There is also a lunch time rehearsal minus the lights.

I brought my family to see the fountain on their recent trip to Dubai, and I have to say I am glad that I did. Definitely a must visit for every first timer.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
