Amazing show

The show was amazing. Be there when the sun is down completely. You could enjoy the light show too. If you want less people around you, go over the bricdge to the other side

The place was crowded for each show which lasts about one song long. It was worth the wait though. Keep you camera handy as you will be taking lots of shots of the fountain and Burj Khalifa!

No matter if you view the fountain show from a hotel, the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa or a restaurant an the shore of the lake: it is beautiful! But of course when you see it up close and hear the music the experience is the best.

Fountain shows start in the evening from 6 at 30 minute intervals. Each show last about 8 minutes. Dancing fountains were lovely and set to beautifully to music. If you like the Bellagio dancing fountains in Vegas you'll love this. There are lots of viewing points from the banks of Dubai Mall. We watched one show from bank for free and... More

Great fountain display to some good music in front of the Burj Khalifa - wow! We sat in a bar opposite the display and enjoyed the whole display several times.

It sounds stupid to go "watch the fountains" but I must say it was one of the hightlights of our trip in Dubai. There are shows every half hour, so I suggest you stay for more than one.

We have visited Dubai for the third time and every time we have enjoyed this fountain dance. Dubai taxis are cheap, so no matter which part of the city you are should visit this place. It's next to Burj Khalifa the worlds tallest building and Dubai Mall. Kids enjoyed the fountain dance with traditional Arabian music which happens every half... More

Majestic fountain set with Burj Khalifa in the background. Runs once every 30 min. Tends to get crowded, do plan to be there a few minutes early to get a spot.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
