The area
Neighbourhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

A must watch in Dubai, it’s beautiful
Loved the ambience around it, loved seeing water dancing to music. You can watch it every half hour. If there is lot of cord, you could wait for next show and find yourself good spot. It’s just beautiful atmosphere with dancing fountains, music and light show on Burj Khalifa all together. It’s for free, so you can watch as much as you like. A must see in Dubai. Also adds to your memories while watching having dinner in nearby restaurants with fountain views.

    Evening Shows
Mesmerizing show to watch in the evening hours. You shouldn’t have too much difficulty getting a viewing point given how expansive the lake is itself. You’ll want to be somewhere in the center facing area of the lake, not the far end sides, to get the best view point. Show runs every half hour so might as well see a couple shows while there.

    Great spectacle
Great show combining music, water spectacle and lighting. We were emotionally touched. Avoiding the crowds, we booked our dinner at Joes cafe on the terrace. A fantastic spot to watch the fountain show and right in front of the Burj Khalifa. Reserving up front will be necessary.

An attraction where you can spend hours
Very nice experience, especially during sunset/in the dark. The very nice atmosphere is created by a perfect choice of soundtracks/songs combined with a stunning watershow. The music/watershow takes place every 30mins in the evening and the fountain is located next to the Dubai Mall (with a lot of restaurants, shops,...).

    The Fountain
This is a must to visit while in Dubai, recommended to visit in the afternoon. Music, lighting, landscape, water and in front of Burj Khalifa, all make it an amazing experience by all means. Take lots of pictures, enjoy and have fun 🤩

    A totally unique experience
We incorporated the fountains with a visit to the mall and went out to see the fountain show first at 6.30pm thought it was still too light nevertheless the power of the water in front of the Burj Kalifa was stunning. We watched again at 7 pm and saw the burj Kalifa lit up to the music this time. Simply magnificent, not to be missed.

    Unskippable Experience
Undoubtedly one of the best experience I had in Dubai. The views of Burj Khalifa near the fountain is marvelous. The fountain show, which happens every 30min from 6PM is simply great. The music, the water dancing in beat to the music and the energy of the crowd gives a great positivity. There is also a small lazer show on burj khalifa along with the fountain show. Heavily crowded place but great vibes.

    Great!
I really enjoyed seeing this. It runs every half hour in the evening, and it is wonderful to watch. There are a number of vantage points such as from the top of the Burj Khalifa, as well as from the Armani Kaf restaurant.

    Beautiful water and light show
I'd recommend the evening water show along with light display against the Burj Khalifa. Get there early if you want to stand along the railing with unobstructed views. Beautiful light and water show, it's free!

    Spectacular Son et Lumiere
Spectacular show with sympathetic music perfectly timed with the fountains. Several shows throughout the evening with differing international themes. You cannot avoid the sponsor's message! Free until you sit down for a meal at a shore side restaurant, which are not to be so raved about.

Waited in anticipation for more than an hour for this water spectacle, to be disappointed with a 3-minute water dance. You would think that there is more to it than that, but no. There is some seating outside but for 90% of the visitors nothing. I expected more.

The fountain and light show at the Dubai fountain & Burj was really brilliant.

A beautiful area just beside the Dubai Mall.

The show is short but really impressive - a few minutes in duration - a combination of music, light and dancing fountain

Lucky enough to see the full light and laser show (I think that may have finished end of March 2024) but the fountain show is still definitely worth seeing.

Just to add- and replying to a few negative comments below - Check the calendar. If visiting during Ramadan is starts late. In 2024 this was at 7:30 PM so the early shows don't happen !

Visited the fountain during the evening before visiting the Burj view… nice setting but busy with so many tourists (some even pushing & shoving to get the best view).

Fountain Show itself was nice but did t really live up to the hype, but worth a visit as some much else to do & see in the area.

We were at the Dubai Mall so decided to see the fountain display as had heard it was amazing. According to the website it runs every 30 mins from 6pm - 11pm. We got there just before 6pm and waited in anticipation with all the crowds of others. At 7.20pm we left. Absolutely nothing had happened and we were fed up standing up for nearly 1.5 hours.

Magical moments.

Evening at dubai mall fountain is awersome. There are both musical and light show and you can easily spend couple of hours there. Music, sound, foundtain, light and magestic burj khalifa - all makes it quite magnificent.

Best view - Opposite bridge from Burj Khalifa (free)

If you go to opposite bar(1st floor - I missed the name) - that is probably the best view

You can also opt for boat ride which can take you very near to fountain.

Terrible experience, totally disorganised, supposed to start at 6.45, nothing happened until 7.30. No information, they lost the key to the gate so people had to squeeze between the kiosk and the railings. Absolute waste of money. Did not even go on the boat we were so disappointed.

The Dubai Fountain is a must at night. Encircled by the Burg Khalifa and many tall buildings all lit up with white lights. Just simply amazing.

One of my best experiences so far. Loved the music and the atmosphere. I watched the show from a restaurant's balcony and the view was breathtaking. The fountain, burj kalifa and the lights created a special feeling. ❤️ you can see the show during the day and at night. U can see it for free if u go to the mall and walk all the way out to the bridge overlooking the fountain. It goes in intervals and u have to wait for it.
