Madinat Jumeirah is one of my old-time favorites of Dubai. The stroll through the old souk inspired pathways, and the little abras that take you across the different areas of Madinat is quite the magical slice of old Arabian towns. There are plenty of amazing...More

Very disappointed with the Abra tour at Jumeriah Madinat Souk. Really not worth the money. Felt like a sales tour for the Jumeirah hotels. AED85 per person is a ridiculous amount of money for a basic 20 minute “tour” if you want an authentic Abra...More

This is a very nice market with plenty to see, a nice view of the Al Arab hotel, and lots of choice. You may well get lost walking among the various shops, so don't feel too bad if you stop for a snack while shopping....More

This place blends the expectations of westerners with the souk type atmosphere and results in a shopping place where tourists can feel non-threatened and under no pressure. As a result, we bought almost all our gifts and souvenirs here. There are also many good restaurants...More

Interesting insight into old meets new architecture. Some interesting places to eat and even though the abra is a little expensive worth doing once for the fun of it.

The souk offers a great variety of shops, restaurants and bars. Sometimes very crowded with tourist, at peak times nearly too many. But you can find your spot to sit down nearly everytime.

In the Madinat souks you get the real feeling of old Dubai, although extremely expensive, I can understand that the rent must be extremely high. For instance. Keyholders 25 AED, in the real old town it was 5 AED. Most stunning costume cover dresses 250...More

There are far more interesting sous in Dubai but if you have the time, then stop by here. It's not a must see, but if you are on the Hop On Hop off bus, it's worth getting off for.

Yes there are souvenir shops, you can always try to barter most places but these are fairy high end establishments so not sure how successful you would be. We were looking at rugs in shop and and the person there said we... More

Yes, the restaurants, spa, souk access are open to all except the beach. It is just like a traditional mall.
