During our visit to the Dubai Mall, we went out into the heat to see the dancing fountains. On completion looking for a quick get away, we entered the mall via a back entrance, hopping into a lift which put us into this massive book stall, we are kindle readers however we were so impressed with this book store that... I never can pronounce the name of the book store😂. But it is really big store to navigate through. They have very wide assortment of books as well as stationary items. I love the athomsphere - so relaxed and peaceful. I went to the Kino's Cafe which belongs to the book store. It's a perfect place if you want to... More

Outstanding selection of books in English, Arabic, French, German, Japanese and possibly other languages, on all subjects! We love the atmosphere of this huge bookstore, the largest in the Middle East if not mistaken. There are lots of places to sit and have a look through a book/ magazine. We go at least once a month and spend at least... More

This is usually the first place I go after visiting Dubai. very nice for people who loves books a lot. even though I don't know why taking pictures are prohibited!! and I think the staff needs to be more professional in handling the customers.

We were looking for bookends and when we entered this huge bookstore, we left with many cook books, a novel and the bookends! I was impressed with the extensive selection!

Maybe the best book shop in Dubai, large selection of books including Arabic books, some Japanese mangas and most of the books are in English. There is a great selection for kids book and the staff are very attentive. I just show a photo of the books I need, then just waiting for the staff to found them. Is a... More

What a remarkable book store. You should be able to find what you want. Huge variety to satisfy most readers needs. Aside from books - for people that are into different comics, manga and RPG style games etc etc you will find that this shop offers a lot that you struggle to find in Dubai. Staff are very helpful too.

This shop really is huge you could almost get lost in here. The information assistants are very helpful and very well laid out. Normally always find what I want it there.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
