Not much to do in Potosi so you should definitely check the church out. At night there is a little more life in the town so walking around is cool

The church itself is not very fascinating and offers the same as so many other churces. However, the climb to the top of the church tower makes it worth a visit as you have a great view of the main plaza as well as the...More

Very friendly curator. Apparently the cathedral is predominantly a museum now and is only used for worship on a Sunday which seems a shame. Other than visiting the mines, there is not much to do in Potosi but we enjoyed spending half an hour or...More

This is a beautiful chuch. We felt priviledged to visit it on such an important day. There was beautiful music and hundreds of visitors.

You enter the cathedral by a locked back door but once inside it is a beautiful scene. All fully restored. Then go up windy tiny fairs to get incredible views over city and walk inside the bells.

Beautiful and very old cathedral that goes back and transports you to the times of the conquest and Spanish colony, 500 years ago. It was recently refurbished and it is in excellent condition. Worth to visit.

The cathedral was one of the nicest on our trip through Peru and Bolivia. We espacially enjoyed theama zing view of the city on the bell tower.

The views from the belltower are fantastic, you can see the whole city and the cerro rico. This alone is worth the visit. The church itself is fairly modern and unremarkable, but worth a look.
